Plan Specifics
The HAND Plan was developed by Dr. Carole J. Loughridge for individuals seeking a medically-supervised diet that will help them lose weight the healthy way and provide the tools needed to make changes that last a lifetime.
Learning to plan your eating like planning other things in life leads to greater success. We plan our workday and our weekend activities, but most of us don’t have a plan for our eating. Northlake Weight Management Center with Dr. Loughridge will show you how to put a plan in place for easy yet effective weight loss.
The HAND Plan lasts a minimum of four weeks and is a calorie-controlled food plan. Dr. Loughridge will have an initial one-on-one visit with you to gather a brief medical history and determine which plan best fits your specific needs. Included in the program is an initial class explaining the plan, educational materials, and weekly follow-up classes which are taught by Dr. Loughridge.
After the initial four weeks, patients wishing to continue should plan to attend class at least twice each month. Patients can expect a weight loss of approximately two pounds per week.
